First, allow me to extol the virtues of frozen puff pastry by the pound from my favorite East Bay bakery, La Farine. All week, with simply some fresh apricots and tart berry jam, I have watched several transcendent tarts and turnovers puff up into flaky golden beauties in my toaster oven. This morning, it is tiny croissants filled with Dolfin’s dark chocolate with Ceylon cinnamon, left over from yesterday’s chocolate tour. I’d take a picture so you could admire and drool and otherwise be terribly envious, but frankly, I’m too busy eating.
Instead, here are two pretty wine-related things for you to look at. The first, from Mary-Ann Williams’s “Felten Empire,” is the Tipsy Wine Bag. To me, this looks like haute couture for wine bottles:
