I’ve been remiss in my blogging lately. It’s hard to stay on top of it, you know, especially when the wine is just aging away in barrel, slowly slowly turning to liquid gold. Plus, it was my birthday last week and, no offense, but real life is more fun than blogs. But, here I am to report on the latest developments!
1. Oren bought me a Vosges bacon bar for my birthday. He is a very, very good person. The verdict? Highly satisfying, surprisingly subtle, and overall pretty rockin’. It’s a little salty-sweet, smooth-chewy party on your tongue. Desert island bar? Not sure… depends if there are wild boar on the island.
2. We’re going in for the big Crushpad barrel tasting on Saturday, so get ready for my initial impressions of the Je Suis duo. I’ll try not to make you too jealous. Maybe.
3. Winemaking dilemma of the
week year: One must buy next year’s grapes before this year’s wine is ready to be sold. Will I be able to grow the business? Will I be able to continue at all? I scrunch up my face at the thought of a small business loan. And yet…
